This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms governing refunds and cancellations for Colorflare (“the Service”). Please read this policy carefully before making any purchases through the Service.
2. Current Service — Free of Charge
Colorflare is currently provided free of charge. No payment is required to access or use any features of the Service. As no charges are incurred, no refunds are applicable at this time.
3. Future Paid Features
Colorflare may introduce paid features in the future, such as tipping or donation functionality (e.g., via Stripe). The following terms will apply to any paid features when introduced:
3.1 Tips and Donations
If tipping or donation features are introduced:
- Tips and donations are voluntary contributions
- Once a tip or donation is processed, it is generally considered final and non-refundable
- Refunds for tips/donations may be issued at our sole discretion in cases of:
- Unauthorized transactions (fraud or account misuse)
- Technical errors resulting in duplicate or incorrect charges
- Charges made to minors without parental consent
3.2 Other Paid Features
If other paid features or subscriptions are introduced in the future, specific refund terms for those features will be provided at that time and will supplement this policy.
4. EU Consumer Rights — Right of Withdrawal
4.1 14-Day Withdrawal Right
Under EU consumer protection law (Directive 2011/83/EU), consumers in the European Union have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of the transaction, without giving any reason.
4.2 Digital Content Exception
For digital content and services (such as Colorflare's features), the right of withdrawal does not apply if all of the following conditions are met:
- You have given explicit consent to begin the performance of the digital service immediately
- You have acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service performance has begun
- You have received confirmation of your consent and acknowledgment
When making a purchase on Colorflare (once paid features are available), you will be asked to explicitly consent to these terms before your purchase is processed.
4.3 Failure to Obtain Proper Consent
If we fail to obtain the required consent and acknowledgment described above, the withdrawal period may be extended by up to 12 months from the end of the original 14-day period.
5. Refund Process
5.1 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund (for future paid features), please contact us at:

Please include the following in your refund request:
- The date of the transaction
- The amount charged
- The reason for your refund request
- Any relevant transaction identifiers
5.2 Processing Time
- Refund requests will be reviewed within 14 business days of receipt
- Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method (Stripe)
- Refunds typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement after approval
5.3 Refund Method
All refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the transaction. We are unable to issue refunds to a different payment method.
Please note that payment processing fees charged by the payment processor (Stripe) may not be refundable, even when a refund is approved. The refund amount will be the amount charged to your payment method, minus any non-refundable processing fees where applicable.
6. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will generally not be issued in the following cases:
- Change of mind after a voluntary tip or donation has been processed
- Dissatisfaction with the Service that does not involve a technical defect or billing error
- Situations where the digital content exception to the EU withdrawal right applies (as described in Section 4.2)
- Violations of our Terms of Service leading to account restriction or termination (as defined in Section 4 and Section 10 of our Terms of Service)
- Requests made more than 90 days after the original transaction
7. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider instead of contacting us first, we reserve the right to:
- Suspend your access to the Service pending resolution
- Provide transaction evidence to the payment provider
- Recover any costs associated with the chargeback process
We strongly encourage you to contact us directly at colorflare.app@gmail.com before initiating a chargeback, so we can resolve the issue promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page
- Provide notice through the Service where practicable
Changes will not apply retroactively to transactions completed before the change.
9. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of Japan. For disputes related to refunds, the provisions of our Terms of Service regarding dispute resolution and jurisdiction apply.
